The AccessToGo application claims to be the fastest mobile Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client, featuring proprietary technology designed to optimize the resizing of Windows interface elements. It provides rapid, straightforward, and secure remote access from smartphones and tablets to office or home PCs and Windows applications such as Excel and Acrobat. Notably, it supports touchpad gestures and floating pointers—features that are uncommon among competitors. When integrated with Blaze RDP acceleration technology, AccessToGo purportedly delivers up to ten times the speed of standard RDP clients—surpassing solutions such as Microsoft Remote Desktop, RDC, 2X Client RDP, Wyse PocketCloud, Remote RDP, Splashtop, and Jump Desktop. According to the vendor, this significant performance improvement is particularly evident over mobile networks like 4G and internet connections.

System requirements specify a minimum of 512MB RAM on the device. RDP must be enabled on the target Windows machine, noting that Windows Home editions do not natively support an RDP server.

Enhancements include the integration of Ericom Blaze technology, transforming AccessToGo into a high-performance client optimized for handling graphics-intensive content such as maps, videos, radiology images, PDFs, and Flash content. This technology reportedly reduces RDP bandwidth consumption by up to 80% compared to conventional RDP clients and enhances display performance. However, it necessitates a Blaze Server on the host machine (more information at http://www.ericomblaze.com). Additionally, Ericom Blaze offers an alternative to Citrix solutions by managing desktop and application publishing through Ericom Connect—claimed to be a more cost-effective option at approximately half the expense of Citrix.

Standard features encompass extensive touch gesture support, automatic keyboard appearance and positioning upon text entry, and a patent-pending technology that facilitates usability by automatically adjusting remote desktop resolution (Pixels Per Inch) and resizing Windows UI elements for mobile environments. Unlike some competitors, it handles resolution adjustments dynamically without requiring manual intervention. It also offers native resolution support and a dedicated function bar displaying essential keys for tablets.
